When it’s necessary to adjust the text size
Font size doesn’t need to be defined most of the time. The default size of 1 rem is handled already by design system defaults along with headings. But we have some utilities for when there is need and reason to not use the defaults.
Different sizing is used to visually separate different pieces, providing a cue to reading order or importance. In content-based pages, it can be useful for intros, while in application interfaces, it can be relevant in compound elements like information cards.
